About
Daily Behavioral Expectations
Our students live the Wizard Way daily by exemplifying the Six Pillars of Character taught through the Character Counts curriculum:
- Trustworthiness: Acting with honesty and integrity.
- Respect: Treating others, yourself, and school property with care.
- Responsibility: Being accountable for your choices and actions.
- Fairness: Playing by the rules and keeping an open mind.
- Caring: Showing kindness and compassion to the WMS community.
- Citizenship: Doing your part to make our school a better place.
Recognition & Rewards
We believe in celebrating our students when they go above and beyond to model these traits. Recognition happens in two major ways:
- The Ticket System (Individual & Group Rewards): Students earn physical or digital tickets from staff members for demonstrating the Wizard Way. These tickets accumulate and can be redeemed for both exciting individual prizes and collaborative group rewards.
- Quarterly Wizard Way Assemblies: Each quarter, staff members nominate outstanding students who have consistently gone above and beyond. These students are publicly recognized and celebrated in front of their peers at our school-wide Wizard Way Assemblies.
